GodVille is an 'RPG' that, instead of an actual video game, is actually more of a zero-player experience. In it you play a god whose sole aim is to motivate a human avatar to tackle all kinds of adventures.
At the beginning of your game in GodVille you have to choose the name of the god you'll play as, and also the name of your human avatar. Once you do this you can start reading your avatar's journal, which he'll write page by page and which will become your only way of knowing what's happening.
There are only three ways to interact with your avatar: you can write and send him a divine message (which he'll interpret in one way or the other), encourage him, or punish him. In any case, the effect of these actions on the human will be never be direct. Instead, the avatar will write in his journal, explaining what happened.
On Godville's other tabs, you can look over your avatar's info (his level, inventory, stats, and more), as well as the pantheon of the world's gods (those of other players on GodVille).
GodVille is a minimalist RPG and even without a great gameplay or graphics, it still manages to offer an entertaining and addictive gameplay.
